1. General requirements
Stone materials exhibit high compressive strength but are sensitive to bending. The base must provide continuous and evenly distributed support with no unsupported spans.
Flatness: ≤ 2 mm / 2 m
Quartz: spacing ≤ 600 mm
Porcelain: spacing ≤ 500 mm
- Avoid point supports.
- No free/unsupported spans.
- All units in one plane (no steps between cabinets).
2. Required elements for each cabinet
- Front rail (facade line) — required.
- Rear rail (wall side) — required.
- Side supports — to eliminate unsupported edges.
- Longitudinal ribs + cross braces with proper spacing.
3. Undermount sink (risk zone #1)
- Reinforcement frame around the cutout.
- Longitudinal ribs left and right.
- Cross braces before and after the cutout.
- No structural elements within the cutout zone.
4. Cooktop zone
- Brace in front of and behind the cutout.
- Side longitudinal ribs.
- With drawers: reinforce the front zone.
5. Seams
- Provide support under the seam.
- Double support is recommended.
- Avoid seams over voids or at cabinet edges.
6. Overhangs
- Without metal: quartz up to 250 mm, porcelain up to 200 mm.
- Beyond that: metal support (brackets/frame) is required.
- Recommended spacing: 400–500 mm.
7. Final check before installation
- Cabinets leveled; flatness within tolerance.
- Perimeter rails present — no unsupported edges.
- Sink and cooktop reinforcements completed.
- Seams supported.
- Overhangs reinforced with metal when required.
Note: for non-standard projects (long spans, complex cutouts, thin porcelain, waterfall, bar zones), please coordinate the structure with JUL ART before fabrication.
